Dr. Gillian Louise Adams, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with MedStar Medical Group at Alexandria. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College and completed her internship and residency at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. Her clinical interests include hypertension, mental health (depression, anxiety, OCD), holistic medicine, whole scope family medicine, and women’s health.

Dr. Jessica Ailani, MD is a board-certified neurologist and a UCNS accredited headache specialist. Dr. Ailani is an associate professor of neurology and the director of the MedStar Georgetown Headache Center atMedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Her specific interests in headache involve procedures in headache medicine. She has an active role in the American Headache Society serving on the Executive Board as a member-at-large, serves on a variety of committees, and is the outgoing section chair of the procedures in headache medicine special interest group. At Georgetown, she’s involved in teaching residents and medical students about headaches in order to increase awareness about migraine and associated disorders.

Joan Bardsley, MBA, RN, CDE, FAADE serves as assistant vice president of nursing and research integration for MedStar Health Research Institute (MHRI) and MedStar Corporate Nursing. She has over 40 years experience in healthcare with a specialty in diabetes self-management education. At MRHI, she is a member of the executive committee, providing oversight for special projects, and is the institutional official for the animal facility. Ms Bardsley is currently co-investigator for the NIH supported inpatient diabetes education project, Diabetes-to-Go and is a contributor to the AHRQ funded grant, We Want to Know. The latter initiative has become a key support component of the MedStar Health Interdisciplinary Model of Care effort. Prior to her role, Ms. Bardsley was responsible for core scientific services and scientific centers administration at MHRI.
At corporate nursing, Ms. Bardsley directly supports the Nursing Collaborative Governance Councils. She is the executive liaison for the Nursing Research Council and the Advanced Practice Registered Nursing Council. Ms. Bardsley serves as the executive liaison for Team Green in the Nursing Leadership Development Program.
Ms Bardsley has published articles and book chapters on diabetes self-management and is an invited speaker both nationally and internationally on this topic. She served as the President of the American Association of Diabetes Educators in 2014 and remains an active member in this organization. Ms. Bardsley is the current chair of the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators and is a board member of the Children with Diabetes organization. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Boston College and a Masters in Business Administration degree from George Washington University.
Josh Billings is the regional director of seven MedStar National Rehabilitation Network clinics in Anne Arundel County and South Baltimore. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Susquehanna University in 1995 and his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from University of Delaware in 1997. Billings was a middle-distance runner in college and started the first running injury clinic in the Baltimore area. Billings is especially passionate about working with youth athletes and making positive changes in youth sports programming through education and in his role as community outreach lead in MedStar’s Youth Sports Medicine program.
Dr. Anne Encarnacion Constantino, MD, is a neurologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She specializes in conditions of the nervous system, such as Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy. Dr. Constantino completed a fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical.

Jessica DeCostole is a registered dietitian and a licensed dietitian nutritionist. DeCostole completed her dietetic internship at the University of Maryland Medical Center in June 2013 and her Masters in Nutrition Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in May 2015. She is currently the outpatient dietitian at the Good Health Center at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, MD. There, she provides nutrition counseling to patients with diabetes, congestive heart failure, and other chronic diseases.
Haley Kreft, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in biobehavioral health from The Pennsylvania State University followed by her Master of Science in human nutrition from Drexel University. Kreft concentrates on patients with chronic illnesses including diabetes mellitus, renal failure and cardiovascular disease who are hospitalized due to acute health issues.
Dr. Bonnie Levin is the Assistant Vice President for Pharmacy Services for MedStar Health. She leads the pharmacy enterprise across MedStar’s ten hospitals, ten outpatient pharmacies, and ambulatory practices.
Dr. Kevin C. Reed, MD, is an emergency medicine physician at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He completed his residency program at University of Maryland Medical Center. Dr. Reed received his medical degree from University of Maryland Medical School and is board certified from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Matthew Daniel Sedgley, MD is a primary care physician, fellowship trained in sports medicine. His special interests include musculoskeletal injuries, evaluation of non-surgical orthopedic problems, and concussion. Dr. Sedgley is a team physician for the University of Maryland at Baltimore County and Stevenson University. His special interests include working with runners, triathletes and bicyclists; he has worked as the primary care sports medicine medical director of several marathons and ultra marathons. Dr. Sedgley was named a 2017 “Top Doc” by Baltimore Magazine for Orthopedic Sports Medicine.

Susan Burke, OTR/L, CHT, is the regional director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Program, located within the Department of Hand Therapy at the Curtis National Hand Center at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. Burke specializes in occupational therapy and hand occupational therapy.
Laura Want is the research nurse coordinator with the MedStar Community Clinical Research Center at MedStar Health Research Institute. She is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management and has many years experience in diabetes education, management, and research, working to make life more livable for people with diabetes. She has authored articles on diabetes and has presented diabetes research at national and international meetings.
